UK new Covid-19 cases and tests, 2020–present

A new Covid-19 case is counted as an individual testing positive for the first time, by the date the test specimen was taken. Tests include PCR tests conducted in laboratories and lateral flow device tests that give results in less than an hour, without needing to go to a laboratory.
