Since March NHS England has published daily updates on overnight hospital beds occupied by Covid and non-Covid patients. The former is updated daily; the latter monthly. In previous years only a quarterly average for bed availability and occupancy was published: we obtained the 2017–19 daily data through a Freedom of Information request to NHS England. There is a small break in the data coverage in 2020 between November 12th and November 17th.
